The Ethos Story

Ethos Custom Homes was formed in 2005 as Larry and Maggie Ebbens had the vision to become a uniquely different type of custom home builder. Together, with their team, their vision was to take their twenty five plus years of cumulative experience and focus on being a blessing to the families they build for. They strive to do this by providing a guiding perspective, conscientious attention to detail, and a transparent process to the construction of luxury custom homes. As a result, they have found their niche in the custom home market specializing in Albuquerque’s East Mountain communities.

Complimentary to being a Licensed Contractor with a genealogy rich in engineering and building practices, Larry brings to the construction table his experience as a former educator of twenty two years with a 4.0 GPA Masters Degree from Northern Arizona University.

While Ethos Custom Homes has become a distinguished builder of luxury custom homes in the East Mountains of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Maggie offers an established recognition and knowledge in the real estate arena.

Their daughters', Katie and Becca, are also actively involved on the Ethos Custom Home team. Katie, a graduate of The Art Center Design College, provides interior design services and meets with Ethos Custom Home clients to design and select finishes. Becca's talents contribute to marketing and promotional efforts.

How did their indentity as Ethos Custom Homes come about?

Ethos in the Greek Language simply means, 'THE WAY TO BE' or 'THE PLACE TO BE.' Translating into the English Language, the words 'Ethical' or 'Ethics' are derived.

As a luxury custom home builder, their focus is simple; 'Our ethical duty begins with treating you and your family the way we would want to be treated if we were your client. It is our, 'WAY TO BE' when we care for your home building needs as if they were our very own.'

Larry believes, 'It is our, 'PLACE TO BE' when we assist you in the selection of a building site, work with you in the designing of a floor plan that meets your family needs, and encourage you in the practice of wise stewardship over the created resources our loving Creator has provided for us.
